Introduction: Plaguy Twisted Nose Cannula
My one-year-old granddaughter was a micropreemie, weighing less than a pound at birth. Although she has various health issues, this does not preclude her from being very active, which in turn causes her nose cannula to kink. Since Ma and Dad send away change her cannula only every two weeks, it behind get really twined, causing kinks that diminish or cut off her aura supply. It upsets me that this happens and so I've been nerve-wracking to research everything I can to rule a solution for her. There just doesn't seem to be anything that will work for her. Sometimes the cannulas/tube are more pliable one week than they are the side by side. It's just nothing we can specifically pin down. The favorable steps are what I've come up with and it seems to be impermanent so far. I guessing fourth dimension is the correct essa. I hope it works for mortal else, too.
You can buy swivel connectors for oxygen tubing but I've not ground any kind of nose cannula with a pivot connector at the Y junction, which I think would be optimum, keeping the headset stable but allowing the principal tubing to swivel. And it's much challenging to observe something better for pediatric nose cannulas. I've also translate some atrocious reviews some swivel connectors, that they can wetting. It's very frustrating and concerning knowing your loved one's breathing may be impaired because of all the twisting that's leaving on with this apparatus.

Step 1: Straightening the Tube
NOTE: The cannula used for this instructable happens to be for an adult, which the medical ply company delivered past mistake, merely the cannuals are tightly looped and guaranteed by a wallpaper band, pixilated and "curly." My original step is to make the tubing pliable and as straight every bit I can cotton on. I hang IT complete a door, gently pulling on it while heating it with the air dryer. Do not do this excessively closely to the tubing or run it over the same place for excessively long, which could damage the tubing.
Step 2: Serious Components
